Dr. Nick Anand is a cataract surgeon with a wealth of experience in academic, clinical, and research settings. At Eye Consultants of Atlanta, Dr. Anand takes in improving his patients’ quality of life, in the case of cataract surgery, restoring their ability to see the world around them.
Dr. Anand completed his residency and training at the Emory Eye Center at Emory University, where he was mentored by renowned, accomplished surgeons. Emory is also where he developed the foundation of how he approaches patients – to take the time to listen and relate to their stories.
After completing his training, Dr. Anand stayed on as a faculty member at Emory while also working at the Atlanta Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Atlanta. During his time here, he had the opportunity to see some of the nation’s most unique and complex cases, treating patients with severe eye diseases and performing advanced procedures like minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS).
Dr. Anand performs laser-assisted cataract surgery at Eye Consultants of Atlanta using the CATALYS® system, a precision femtosecond laser that provides patients with the most precise results possible. He is excited about the ways that technology is continuously improving patient care. His attention to detail and focus on getting to know his patients makes him well-qualified to help them find the lens option that fits their lifestyles after surgery.
Above all, Dr. Anand is passionate about patient education, and encourages patients to ask questions. Using his extensive knowledge to identify and treat a full range of eye diseases, Dr. Anand takes a comprehensive, personal approach with every single patient to best serve their needs.
